Borat

Filed under B - DVD Movie Club

Oh my sweet mama pajamas. I have never seen a film that was simultaneously as offensive and hilarious as Borat. I wouldn’t recommend this movie to anyone who doesn’t like racism, sexism, male nudity, and crude humor to the nth degree. Actually I take that back. I’d recommend this to everyone I know except members of my family. It’s so unbelievably vile and yet I would go so far as to say that I have never laughed out loud or cringed during any movie as much as I did during this one. I’m giving it a 3 since I think a lot of it could have been done more tastefully, believe it or not.

X-Men 3: The Last Stand

What is your problem if you thought this wasn’t better than both of the other two X-Mans’s? It was great! Not only did several of the mutants lose their powers, but a bunch of them died too. They also introduced some new friends and foes to the mix which made for all kinds of new powers for them to use in battle. Speaking of battle, the fighting and all the ultimate powers exhibited in the movie blew my mind. I had no idea that one certain mutant was as powerful as she was. And last but not least, it was cute how Rogue got cured of being a mutant so she and Ice Man could do it with each other. This one gets a 4.5 out of 5 on the awesome scale.
